Another COVID-19 related death has brought the total number of deaths to 29. The Ministry of Health says the latest death is that of an elderly male with pre-existing health conditions. The announcement comes with the news that 43 more persons have tested Positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 1,255.

However, the Ministry says the figure is not representative of the Positive cases in the last 24 hours only, as the samples were taken from the period August 28th to September 3rd.

Meanwhile, North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) CEO, Davlin Thomas, is denying that any COVID-19 patient has died as a result of a lack of care from the Authority.

His statement comes after the T&T Registered Nurses Association President (TTRNA) Idi Stewart alleged that a patient did not receive their dialysis treatment in time, which led to their eventual death.
